Details of the workshop are as follows:

The workshop will be conducted in English language to allow wider audience to appreciate the subject matter. The workshop will focus on:
• The historical depth of the Arabic language.
• The renewal of the Arabic language with the revelation of the Holy Qur’an.
• The connection of the Arabic language to the Islamic civilization, as it was the only language utilized to document Sharia sciences and the pure sciences.
• The need for Muslims to comprehend the Arabic language in order to understand and practice their religion.

Prof. Dr. Munjid Mustafa Bahjat was a lecturer of Arabic Literature & Literary Criticism at the International Islamic University, Malaysia for more than 20 years. He was born in Kirkuk, Iraq, obtained a B.A. from Baghdad University (1968), M.A. and Ph.D. from Al-Azhar University, Cairo (1973/1982). He also obtained a Diploma in Human Science from the International Islamic University Malaysia (2000). Throughout his career, he published more than 20 books and 60 Articles focusing on the Arabic language, literature, criticism and teaching Arabic as a second language.
